The triathlon was

awesome!! I am thrilled to say that I exceeded my expectations on my times and had a blast doing it. I was hoping to finish in under 2 hours and my official finishing time was
1 hour, 34 minutes. Can I hear a "Woo Hoo?!" I felt so good that I ran about 1/2 of the 5K at the end. I had some great supporters there cheering me on. My mom was the most enthusiastic fan, and it sure was wonderful hearing her chants..."Go KB!!!" Kayla, Kevin, Kim W and Barb Hidde faced the elements also and made there voices heard. And since Eryn and Colleen made it to the finish line before me, they were there cheering me on as well. :) One thing I would change is that I underestimated myself on the swimming and was stuck with lots of poor swimmers. My mom wanted to be a sniper from stands and get those people out of her daughter's way. She supports me "whatever it takes." I can't even express how wonderful I feel and how blessed I feel that the day went so well. Thanks friends...I truly don't think I could have done it without such wonderful encouragement. More later. Time for dinner.
Mom,

Ah Kathy,
ReplyDeleteI am so happy for you. I was a bit worried about how the weather would affect you, but it seems not to have been a deterent. I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!!!! You are inspiring, and I am quite sure I see a triathalon in my future! Let me know when you plan to do the next one and even if we can't train together, we can a least keep up and encourage each other while training. Now that you've got one under your belt, you'll be able to coach me :)
This goes down in history as one of those things you probably never thought you'd do, but you did it, and DID IT WELL!!! Careful, I hear these types of contests are addicting......
WOW Kathy 1 hour & 34 minutes. That time is awesome especailly when your goal was 2 hours! I am so proud of you! This is so awesome & I know you worked very hard for this. Great work & I am loving your life style change instead of a diet. This is what we all need to do. Love ya girl.

WOO HOO!!!!!!! You are an inspiration to all of us! You know I love ya-
ReplyDeleteHey Kathy,
ReplyDeleteI rode my bike the other day, and it was very windy. Besides that, I started thinking about your 1 hour and 34 minutes. I think that you did amazing. At first I was impressed because you finished. Now I am impressed with the time. Do you remember how long it took you to do each event? I am constantly trying to improve my own times, but I am curious as to how they measure up to someone elses. I seriously think you did a great job...surely you're planning to compete agian!
What's been going on since the race? Still working out? Still weighing regularly? Let me know how you are doing.
I think we should see if Dawna wants to come to our final Bod Pod testing and maybe we could go out to eat afterwards....
WHERE IS OUR NEW POST????
